2eros Icon 2 Trunk and Brief – A Review
The last couple of days I’ve had the pleasure of trying out the brand new Icon 2 collection by 2eros.
Established in 2008, 2eros is a rising star on the men’s underwear scene. Based in Australia, creator Jason Hoeung is part of a new generation of underwear designers that have made the land down under the undisputed trendsetting nation when it comes to men’s underwear fashion.
Besides the high-quality products, 2eros also take the prize for best brand name. The name '2EROS' can be read in two ways, either as 'Zeros' or 'To Eros'. 'Zeros' symbolises the two circles within the 2EROS logo, which visually represents the male assets. How about that for a visual statement, huh? :)
Alternatively, Eros, the Greek god of lust and love, symbolically represents sex, male virility and passion. As a result, 'To Eros' can also mean 'to the god of love'. Certainly this brand will boost any man’s confidence!
With that said, let’s get on with the review of the Icon 2 trunks and briefs.
Style
The Icon 2 trunk and briefs are classic low rise cuts. Some men can be a little intimidated when it comes to low rise underwear, fearing that it simply won’t cover up enough. Really, this is a myth and both the briefs and trunk rise just high enough on your waist so that you don’t have to walk around pulling up your underwear all the time.
I would say, though, that the trunk with its short legs is probably closer to a square cut style than your average trunk. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a great fitting pair of underwear, which you will see below.
Pouch design
The pouch area is nicely framed by thick stitching and offers plenty of room for the average man’s package. The contours of the double-layered pouch are further accentuated by a white center stitching, which provides an eye-catching contrast to the solid color of the briefs/trunk (in my case lime green and black).
Back design
The back design of both the brief and trunk is well-proportioned and covers the entire area of your buttocks. Most men, myself included, find it extremely important that they don’t have pull their underwear out from between the buttocks all day long. The 2eros Icon 2 briefs and trunk stayed put all day long and didn’t reveal any embarrassing crack either.
With respect to the brief style, you need to be aware that it has been fitted with elastics to the end of each leg opening. To me these felt a little tight and could have used a little more stretch. I didn’t experience this issue with the trunk style.
Waistband
The 2eros Icon 2 styles is equipped with a thick 1,8” waistband with a raised rubber printed logo and a prominently featured ‘OO’ symbol. The waistband has a product information patch stitched on the inside rear of the briefs. However, the stitching is done so that you won’t notice it at all.
Fabric quality
The fabric is a very soft modal blend consisting of 50 % modal, 45 % cotton, and 5 % Elastane. Modal-based fabrics are a favorite of mine because they feel extremely soft and light against your skin. The fabric blend is one of the key features of the Icon 2 collection.
Color
Out of the black trunk and the lime green briefs, the lime green color is my absolute favorite. The bright shade of green is highly fashionable right now. Generally, bright colors are very popular this spring, and a lime green pair of briefs will have you looking stylish in locker rooms as well as bedrooms.
Fit
Overall, both the Icon 2 styles fit like a glove. I wore a US size M for a 32″ waist, and I don’t see any need to size up or down.
Price
The U03•07 Icon 2 trunk is priced at $34,95 and the U02•07 brief will set you back $32.95. This means that 2eros is a high-end brand, but the premium price of the products is positively outweighed by the quality and design.
Both styles can be purchased at 2eros own web shop.

Ergowear Max Thong Review
Ergowear Max Thong - A Big Hit
As I've written in my previous Ergowear review, they have 3 underwear ranges (X3D, Max, and Plus). Ergowear's Max Thong is my latest review. I must say, I was quite impressed all around with the quality and comfort of this thong.
The thong, like Ergowear's other ranges, features their exclusive 3 dimensional pouch. The lift effect of the pouch supports and enhances you quite nicely. The waistband was comfortable with Ergowear displayed across the band. The combination of the pouch design and fabric made this a very comfortable thong for all-day wearing - seriously, you forget you're wearing a thong at all. The fabric is a cotton/lycra blend for a soft and form-fitting feel and look. The thong was of a decent size - not too big that you felt like you had a wedgie and not too small to feel like you were flossing. The thong I tried was in black but they also make the Max Thong in white.
As I've written in previous reviews, each of Ergowear's ranges are quite different from each other. The Max range, as I've mentioned, is made from a cotton/lycra blend. The fabric on the Max is a bit heavier for compression vs the Max Light which is made from a modal/lycra fabric - creating a softer feel and look. Regardless if you go for the Max or Max Light the 3 dimensional pouch is designed to work the same. If you look at the pictures, the pouch is meant to lift you up and out in a natural position. This really helps with elliminating the squashing/sticking problems of traditional underwear. The pictures below show (A) traditional and (B) Ergowear.
I have some reviews on the Max boxer, Max Light brief and Max Light midcut coming out later this week so you can look for those too. Both the Max and Max light come in a variety of colors and cuts (thong, brief, bikini, jock, midcut, boxer). All-in-all, I am once again very happy with my Ergowear. Definitely a hit and a favorite of mine.
Also available in white

Ergowear X3D Lowrise Boxer Brief Review
Today's review, however, will focus specifically on Ergowear's X3D Lowrise Boxer Brief. The X3D is made from a polyamid/elastane microfiber fabric. The combination of the two allows for a very soft fabric (like soft silk) that is fast-drying and very breathable - creating comfort and usability for any condition of wearing (casual, daily, sports). The material doesn't absorb, it wicks the moisture away - keeping you cool and avoiding the wet/sticky feel. The waistband on the X3D is very small and covered in the same microfiber - creating a good look and feel.
The cut of the X3D, in addition to the pouch design, is that of a lowrise. The height, of course, is lower than the standard X3D boxer brief and the waistband is too. I found the lowrise to be very comfortable all around and sat perfectly for me (lowrise can sometimes sit too low). All in all, a great boxer brief from a great brand. I can highly recommend these and have added them to my favorites.
