PostHeaderIcon Lodoli @Water Swim Brief - A Men's Swimwear Review

Reviewed by Eric Layman

Today, I had the distinct pleasure of reviewing the Lodoli @water in a size medium (I am a 31 waist).  Menswear Review has reviewed a few of Lodoli's items, including the RP Ero, Roky, and La Bomba Enhancing brief.  The @Water is the first swimsuit review but is just as wonderful as the Lodoli underwear that was previously reviewed.

Fabric:   WOW, the 80% polyamide / 20% spandex fabric has the feel of a great fitting isotoner glove.  This extremely soft fabric was comfortable and fast drying.  I tried the hot fuchsia color and received many compliments.   The @Water comes in several great colors.  Check out the Lodoli website for the full range of colors.

Front:   The front pouch was very comfortable and “showy” without any enhancing implements.  It is also double-lined and could not be seen through, even when wet.  The feel was supportive without being constricting or tight.  Loved it!

Back:  The full coverage rear was just as comfortable as the rest of the suit.  It stayed in place well and almost felt like wearing nothing at all.  Very impressive indeed!

Style:   Aside from the hot colors, the cut is wonderfully sexy without showing a lot of extra skin.  There is a wide contrasting stripe on the left and LODOLI logo on the right, which adds a nice touch.

Craftsmanship:  Extremely well made swimsuit.  I was very impressed with the way this suit was put together.

PostHeaderIcon Lodoli RP Ero Boxer Brief - A Men's Underwear Review

Continuing my run on mesh underwear is the Lodoli RP Ero Boxer Brief.  As you may recall, I wrote two other reviews on Lodoli men's underwear - the Roky Boxer Brief and the Lodoli La Bomba Enhancing Briefs - A Men's Underwear Review.  I absolutely loved my previous two reviews - Lodoli really makes some fantastic products.

The Lodoli RP Ero semi-sheer boxer brief is a very sexy looking men's boxer brief.  Made from a black mesh and velvet material, these boxer briefs provide a sexy, stylish look.  The only part of the underwear that doesn't have the mesh horizontal striping is the pouch.  So, for guys who love the allure of the mesh stripes but like a lined pouch, this is for you.

The pouch on the RP Ero was really the only area that I was a bit disappointed.  The pouch in the Roky and La Bomba were fantastic and was expecting the same with the RP Ero.  Unfortunately, the pouch was a bit too tight for me.  If you like tighter fitting underwear, these will be great for you.  I've become accustomed to larger pouches and prefer not to have the tighter fit.

As a boxer brief, there was full coverage in the rear.  The waistband and leg bands were comfortable and kept things in place - no riding up of the legs.

The overall quality of material and workmanship are high, as I've found with their other products too.  It can certainly be said that Lodoli takes their workmanship seriously and are building a solid name with their quality products.

All-in-all, I loved the RP Ero with the excpetion of the pouch.  If Lodoli used a large pouch like they have on the Roky, they'd have a near perfect product.  At about $17.50 (USD) they are a reasonable price for the product.

PostHeaderIcon Lodoli Roky Boxer Brief - A Men's Underwear Review

Earlier
this week, I reviewed a new pair men's underwear from Lodoli called the La Bomba - an enhancing brief.  You may recall that Lodoli is a relatively new brand from Croatia by designer Roland Lodoli.

Today's review is on Lodoli's Roky boxer brief.  The Roky is a pouch style boxer brief made from an incredible micromodal blend.

After a day's wearing, I can honestly say these are one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I've worn.  I've really become a big fan of mircomodal fabric for it's softness and natural qualities.  The micromodal used by Lodoli is heavier than other brands I've tried.  The heavier fabric is extremely soft a bit more durable than some of the other brands I've tried who use this material.  Now, I don't want to scare you off with the "heavier" comment.  This does not mean that the fabric is too thick.  Rather, it means that the fabric isn't as paper thin as others.  I really like the blend Lodoli used.

I found the waistband and leg bands to be quite comfortable too.  The leg bands have a bit more elastic in them than I've felt before.  So, the leg bands were nice and snug which really helped keep the legs where they should be to avoid riding up on you.

Best of all, the pouch in the Lodoli Roky was wonderful.  I love it when designers actually think about the male anatomy when designing underwear.  Combined with the incredibly soft micromodal material, the pouch was very comfortable and supportive for me throughout the day.

All in all, I can say these are again a quality, comfortable pair of men's underwear that deserves a look as you seek out new underwear.  I easily recommend these to you and have added them to my list of favorites.  At roughly $17.50 USD (rough conversion) they're a great buy for such a comfortable, quality pair of men's underwear. Check out Lodoli's site for this and other styles.

PostHeaderIcon Lodoli La Bomba Enhancing Briefs - A Men's Underwear Review

Do your boys need a lift?  If they do, I've got a new pair of men's underwear for you.  A relatively new brand who's being noticed around the world is Lodoli (after designer Roland Lodoli) out of Croatia.

Lodoli has underwear, sportswear and swimwear lines for both men and women.  For this review, we'll be looking at Lodoli's enhancing underwear, in particular the La Bomba.  The La Bomba is the man's version of the push-up bra - similar to aussieBum's Wonder Jock.  Actually, the La Bomba is extremely similar to the Wonder Jock.  Inside the pouch is a smaller pouch sewn in where you place your boys. The resulting effecting is a lifting and enhancing look.  For me, this is much more comfortable than a strap or some other mechanism to lift things up.

After a day's wearing, I can honestly say these were quite comfortable.  I'm always a bit skeptical of enhancing underwear  - some work as they should but comfort is sacrificed as a result; for Lodoli's La Bomba, they enhance AND are comfortable!

The La Bomba are made from 100% cotton, which typically concerns me as 100% cotton often stretches out and sags.  While La Bomba is made from 100% cotton, the piping around the pouch and legs, along with the quality grade of cotton, kept the shape and form quite well.

For comfort, I mentioned already that I found the pouch to be comfortable for the day's wearing.   In addition, I found the leg bands and to be comfortable too.  The leg bands grip your leg comfortably - snug enough to keep them in place, but not too restrictive.  The waistband is made from typical elastic.  While comfortable enough, it's the one recommendation I could make to Lodoli for upgrading.  Last, and critical for me, is the rear coverage. I'm happy to report that the La Bomba has a full seat that was also very comfortable.

All in all, I can say these are a quality, comfortable pair of men's underwear that indeed enhances your profile without sacrificing comfort.  I can comfortable recommend them to you and have added them to my list of favorites.  At roughly $17.50 USD (rough conversion) they're a reasonable buy for a quality pair of men's underwear.

I'll be posting a review in the next few days on Lodoli's Roky boxer brief made from micromodal and their RP Ero, their semi-sheer boxer brief.  Look for these additional reviews in the next few days.
